Re: Show us your mugs .... Crown Lynn of course ;)
Jonno that mug is a definite match to go with the Spring Fair pattern d47000.
I haven't seen that pattern in a mug before .... only cups.

Re: Show us your mugs .... Crown Lynn of course
Of course it is Spring Fair although I sold my samples late last year I see and the mug shape is 3050. also thanks to your research. Haven't forgotten about a better photo but it is a bit too dark today methinks.

1970s Crown Lynn Coffee Mug
A few years ago my mum gave me some unwanted cups, that I promptly put away in a cupboard. Clearing out the cups this week, I noticed this coffee mug. Dad used this mug all the time as he liked that it held much more volume than a ordinary cup or coffee can. It is 9cm in height and 26cm in diameter.

Re: Show us your mugs .... Crown Lynn of course
Scored a couple of new 3050 mugs this week so here are a couple of photos of my collection. Interesting to me most have a wide base or docking ring only three in my
lot have the smaller size. None have the shape number or the pattern number or name.

This pattern is called Birdsong White and was listed by hon-john today ....Jonno wrote:Another for the collection . No shape number on base. Floral design appears to be printed rather than a transfer

Two more stacking mugs and a gold wheat on black
no number on either of these, also not sure if they have a pattern name
and this golden wheat one, which I thought I had seen on here before

Re: Show us your mugs .... Crown Lynn of course ;)
possibly because it's the same transfer in a different colour scheme as that used on wild wheat cups

my four-digit project
Kat, I like those stacking mugs and would love to see a montage of all the different patterns.
I don't have even one, but my Chinese "stacking cups" number seven, with only one duplication of colouring.
Four Digit Titianware/castware Mugs, Cups, and one Beaker
I have other four-digit items in this range but I'm only actively collecting the drinking vessels.
The good thing about collecting mugs is you don't have to worry about finding saucers too.
I'm now thinking I need to make a new cabinet for these mugs as, with the growing number, I have run out of shelf room. I hope to keep adding to this set but I do note new ones appearing in the gallery all the time, so it may never, ever, be complete. There are 37 shown and I have one more on the way. That's about half way.
All contributions welcome!
Ev, these are all already in the gallery.
______________
UPDATE 22/12/13
I've just been cataloguing my four digit mugs so I'll add this rough new photo. Up to 51 now.
I want more. Help me.
____________
UPDATE 5/2/14
New composite photo 60 mugs
________________
UPDATE 13/2/14 61
------------------
Update 17/2/14
I really need some proper shelves!
The addition of just two more mugs from Kat today has me maxed out.
Despite the appearance of a set of shelves above, the mugs are spread out along two pelmet shelves, each about 2.1 metres long so adding one new mug is a lot of work. I have an overflow shelf in the roof framing but that'll only take short mugs. With new shapes arriving in the gallery every week I will probably make allowance for 100 mugs but don't necessarily anticipate getting that many: maybe 80!
------------------
Update 19/2/14
If I add in my new acquisitions, plus one in the post, plus ring-handled soup mugs my total stands at 78.
So far Ev's new addition (notes) to the gallery make a total of 121, but I think there are more to be added yet.
I think I will just allow for 100.
------------------
Update 23/5/14
85 mugs etc
------------------
Update 25/6/14
91 including coffee and soup mugs, the odd tankard, one beaker, one cup,
one goblet, and one miniature potty.
---------
12/8/14
Up to 95
Still no shelves!
---------
11/5/15
I now have 105 but that includes a beaker, a goblet, soup mugs (4), and small potty.
But still no permanent shelves!
this montage was made by stitching screen shots of the ipad
and includes my own pics, gallery pics, and screen grabs

Re: Show us your mugs .... Crown Lynn of course ;)
Sorry as I haven't been able to identify these mugs yet, because there are so many listed as stacking mugs [Hotels] and these are definitely not those, or Ribbed base mugs..... maybe, but I need more confirmation.
Another pretty 3050 mug ...
Arghhhhh this pattern will take the number of No Name patterns to 200!!
This makes me all edgy and uneasy as it's only going to grow relentlessly I feel !
I went all up market yesterday and got a piece of white card to put the pottery on to photograph and now it looks like I'm using a diffuser or something
Not sure what's going on there?
