These were made in Red, Yellow, Green and White in the 1980's. There is a photo of them in the records, but no name for them ...... yet !!! The Sesame Street mugs are in the same photo.
Re: Show us your mugs .... Crown Lynn of course ;)
Kat&Co posted these 2
url=https://servimg.com/view/12532396/3573]
Info from the Portage Museum
The pattern numbers are 90065 and 90066 =Flower b Vertical stripes and Flower C horizontal stripes
Are we to add this to the gallery, with odd "flower name"? but that's what they called it !!!

Ok I've caught up with you Janice and found the page with the pattern names and the photo of the patterns that match that page. Yes please add the ones you have found to the Gallery using the same name that Crown Lynn have used. The horizontal bands pic is mine by the way. Great stuff and I know we have some of the others, but perhaps with different background colours.

I agree that the last two have different background glazes, but I would add them with those names and leave off the numbers at this stage. Fabulous posh lunch and dessert.
Have you added any yet?

Re: Show us your mugs .... Crown Lynn of course ;)
Do you think that could be the Rust one Janice? I will look at it when I get home.
Re: Show us your mugs .... Crown Lynn of course ;)
It could be. The main pattern is bright orange and the dots in the centre are a rust colour. What paper work did you find at portage? Does it show colours. Also mine is a different shaped cup does that matter. ?

Critters Mugs
Hello I recently found 5 'Critters' mugs in Canada. A wolf, a brown bear, a polar bear, a bison and a moose all in what appears to be unused condition. Is anyone able to tell me the year they were manufactured? There is not much info available on the net about them.
Are they rare? Thank you, Heather

Re: Show us your mugs .... Crown Lynn of course ;)
Hi Heather, I haven't come across any information about when these were made. However the mug shape was first made in 1974, so it won't be any earlier than that. Crown Lynn exported crockery to Canada for many years, so it's no surprise to find these there. It's great to know what the other animals in the set are as we only have a photo of the wolf on the site. I would consider them hard to find, but not rare as such.
