Re: Pic's of Jim's Collection
What a fantastic collection !! Pleased to meet you Jim after all this time
There is a cup that I spy in the vitrified cups .... right in the middle that makes me think it may be an 832 E/W Breakfast Cup. One day I would really like to see a close up of that one Thanks for sharing these with us Kat xxx

Re: Pic's of Jim's Collection
I spent hours on Monday trying to squeeze more Crown Lynn onto my shelves to clear my pottery table and I'm really envious of Jim's display shelves.
The cup on the left of the one in the middle is interesting me too ... the shape rings bells.

Jim's swan display updated
Spotted Jim at Hospice shop yesterday. He told me he had a surprise for next visit, clue: "black". Jim's surprise was blown a few minutes later when I saw Bruce Sowry, a mutual friend from Antiques Club, at the Sallies. Bruce visited Jim last week and was impressed with his shelf of swans. Only missing a black one Jim had mused.
Jim's collection is constantly enhanced by finds from his daughters. When daughter Linda was delivering some furniture from, I think, a trademe sale she bumped a table or somesuch nearly knocking over, you guessed it, a Crown Lynn black swan. Linda offered exchange for the furniture and no money changed hands. Everyone parted happy.

Dates
Why is there not a year in all the post on this site? It's extremely difficult to date any posts if there isn't one.
Thanks in advance.

It's a setting, you can change the format the date is shown. It only works if you are logged in, though.youngstar wrote:Why is there not a year in all the post on this site? It's extremely difficult to date any posts if there isn't one.
