Re: Crown Lynn shapes made at Luke Adams in Christchurch 1969 - 1975
Hi Jeremy, all is correct and reads as the records read.
1076,1077,1078,1079 all have the same Coffee Mug with C handle description.
Someone has written Titian? beside the 1079, but they all show that they were made at Chch which is Luke Adams.

Is the 1057 mug (Mark Cleverley design) missing from this group?

Re: Crown Lynn shapes made at Luke Adams in Christchurch 1969 - 1975
Kat,
I do not have the Cleverley mug in Basalt, only Lucow.
I was in the process on writing a want ad for it yesterday and got distracted.
Trade for Lucow or buy.
I need to look through my other shapes too now that Ev has confirmed those numbers as I may have one of them in a Basalt too.

Kat, I had to check what your emoticon was up to but I see it's all good.
Totally yup re swap.
I suspected from your comment that you may have had one already.
I guess your out to build a set to match your Lucow Cleverley pot.

John Cowdery a new piece for gallery
Well here is another one! When I saw Kat's pic my brain trundled slowly back to an interview I did with Bebe Cowdery, wife of the late John Cowdery, when I did my first book. She was losing her memory and her interview never made it onto the record, but she showed me these items which she had kept proudly for decades because her late husband made them... One pic I have is of Kat's vase above, the other is this planter with a base.
I found my notes from my conversation with Bebe - So Tom bought Luke Adams and it was a real shambles. Mr Adams must have been ailing for some time ant Pat Cotton the foreman just carried on. Bricks and insulators and things. Tom took John down and asked him what he thought about it. John didn’t say much about it. As usual Tom can be very persuasive, a very good deal etc,. (so John ended up leaving the Crown Lynn factory and moving to Luke Adams, which he managed for some years before moving to Royal Grafton in England.)

Absolutely Fantastic Val
Yes that is one of the shapes we are looking for and I recognise it to be the
1051 Oblong Flower Pot first made 9.8.68 and the 1052 base for 1051.
Edits to remove pic
How excellent that you remembered and then went back and found this pic.
Bless you and Thank you and you'll have a very Merry Xmas

Re: Crown Lynn shapes made at Luke Adams in Christchurch 1969 - 1975
Funny... I talked to Bebe quite early in my research and at the time these items didn't have any connection that I could see with Crown Lynn. I thought that Bebe had got mixed up with something else. How wrong I was!

1380 Picture for gallery
Hi there, I'm a regular visitor to this forum and find the odd thing in opshops to add to my steadily growing collection. My latest addition is this medium plant pot that is stamped with 'titianware 1380 nz' in a beautiful pastel lilac. When I finally found the matching number in this shape guide I thought that you might like to use the picture a picture for the gallery...
