Adrian Bevis
This pic shows an Adrian Bevis jug with his trademark pattern of a fern frond in red iron oxide.
I'm told that Adrian threw the pottery and his wife decorated the ware.
I saw an old pic of a very young Adrian working at Waimea Pottery in Nelson recently,
in a Crown Lynn Ceramics magazine
This jug does not have a stamp on it.
I will find one sometime!
His mark is an AB joined together.

Re: Adrian Bevis
Oh wow, my Salt Pig matches this coffee set! Or close, a little lighter in tone.

Re: Adrian Bevis
Oh I saw one of these jugs in a store today and I left it there because I didn't recognise the mark, come home and search it and now I'm kicking myself for not buying it. I might have to go back tomorrow and see if its still there!

Re: Adrian Bevis
I went back to the Op Shop I saw this in and surprisingly, it was still there. So of course, I just had to buy it :-)

Re: Adrian Bevis
Wondering if the posters on this thread can re-load their photos if they still have them please, much more enlightening when the photos are there. Thanks

Are these made by Adrian Bevis?
I was about to list these mugs as we never use them, but then wondered if they were made by Adrian Bevis.
Any ideas?

Re: Adrian Bevis
Yes I can say that is his mark, though I would date the mugs as early. I see a lot of his work when I'm touring. He has started potting seriously again and had an Exhibition of his work on recently at his new showroom in Tuakau.
Re: Adrian Bevis
I was wondering if this could be his work:
I now have 3 of those and use them as tea caddies.

Re: Adrian Bevis
That looks like his mark to me Hanelle
He is still potting and live at Tuakau, South Auckland.

Re: Adrian Bevis
Bought this jug. It has a different mark than the one in the gallery:

Re: Adrian Bevis
You are very welcome, Ev.
You know, when I first saw it, in less than perfect light, I read this as Brian instead of as Adrian. Next day it was in a different place, different light, and I saw what it really said.

Re: Adrian Bevis
Gosh I've seen a lot of Adrian's work and I don't see this work or mark as his.
There must be another AB potter out there .....?????
