John gifted me this most unusual mug that he found made by Heather of Rotorua.
It is covered with a page out of a local newspaper reporting the Mt Ruapehu eruption in June 1996.
Heather has made the glaze using the ash fall collected in Rotorua NZ on Monday June 17 1996.
It's a great piece of history and a very creative way to use the ash fall.
