Temuka controversial golliwog ware
I posted these plates on Fbook and there was quite a lot of outrage about it. But I do feel they should be on the record. From comments on Fb, I believe they were made in the late 1990s and maybe early 2000s. By then it was well accepted that Golliwogs were an offensive image, so it is interesting that Temuka made them at that time. Note that the background green is more accurate in the pic of the triangular plate.

Thanks Val and I agree with you that these should be on record here.
I can't remember anything about golliwog being offensive until perhaps 8 to 10 years ago, when it first came to my attention.
These were made in the early 2000's and we were very innocent to such things then.
