How exhilarating to find one of these most unusual cups!
According to Gail Henry 2nd edition page 169 they were made for a company who made a wooden range of dinnerware and were made in the Teddy Rennie Mahogany finish.
Edits to add that according to Cam Brown Jnr they were made for one customer only, a Mrs McKay in 1959-60 at Henderson.

Really quite stunning!!
