RICHMOND POTTERY STONEWARE GRIFFIN'S JAR
I have a marked to the base RICHMOND POTTERY jar with GRIFFIN'S incised to the side of the jar which was apparently a promotion prize from the 70/80's. Can anyone help in regards to its rarity or value...the height of the jar is 25cm and the diameter is 18cm...

That is interesting. It looks unglazed, yet it has a stamp so presumably was sold like that.
Unfortunately I don't know enough about Richmond to offer any useful information.

I'm surprised that it sold for $15.50 with that broken lid, but it must have brought back memories for someone.

A number of these jars were made for Griffins in the late 70’s when they still had a factory in Nelson.
