Re: Bowls, bowls, bowls
The oval dish looks like Flax Gully, the LF initial has come up before as a mystery mark.
It looks a little different to the tankard mark..
but the glaze & style of pot look similar to me.

& the last grey pouring vessel maybe by John Sepie.

Why of why can't potters just sign with their full name and address, instead of making us figure it all out?Kat & Co. wrote:The oval dish looks like Flax Gully, the LF initial has come up before as a mystery mark.

The pouring vessel is more a light purple than a grey, but the colour is difficult to catch in photographs. It is beautiful and quite heavy.
Now off to check out Sepie and Gully. So many potters, so little time.

Re: Bowls, bowls, bowls
Just to let you know that the lovely canisters were made by Simon Young ...

Plus I'm familiar with that three leaf clover mark, but I don't have time to investigate. Hopefully someone else can.

Re: Bowls, bowls, bowls
The clover mark is similar to Peter Alger's, but not the same as the one in the gallery.
Thank you for giving me a name for those cannisters, I can now see the mark is an S and Y combined.
