Does it have a hole in the top to hang it up?
I don't think that this is a Salt Pig as they only have one opening.
The letters PLPGI are the initials of the name of the piece.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Yes it does, not sure if it is a bird feeder, a candle burner or salt pig.
