Help please

I have had a handwritten request from the lovely Merilyn at Whangarei Hospice shop to try and track down some work by a relative of hers. (She told me but I can't remember the exact connection atm.)

Nellie Minnie Jane Holton 1916-1977
married several times so may have different surnames:
Morrison 1937-40ish
Burke 1946-50ish
Golton 1960ish to death (may be Colton)

Potter won numerous awards including Fletcher Brownbuilt Comp
pottery not sold in NZ but in Australia, USA, Hawaii

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

I have several Fletcher catalogues from the 70's and 80's and will see what I can find.

Thanks Ev.

Merilyn really is a lovely lady. She puts the pottery on the shelves and is very particular about putting the NZ stuff in the right place, She tells me whether Jim or Kat has been in ahead of me and what they've bought.

I am constantly surprising her when she thinks she's pinned me down and I buy something totally left of sentre like the Japan mug.

I think the potter is her mother but honestly forgot. Everthing else was on paper but that.

The earliest Fletcher Brownbuilt catalogue I have is 1977.

What area did she pot in?

I did find a Jean Gollop from Napier in a 1969 NZ Potters Exhibition at the Auckland Museum
her entry was a Thrown Plate for $3

Ev, I will hav to wait until Monday to ask follow-up questions.

That may be the same person if someone (poss. me) mixed Jane and Jean.
The piece of paper is in a different town from me atm.

1977 was the first year of the Fletcher Brownbuilt Awards - I don't know if there were different categories of award. John Anderson was described as the Premier Prizewinner which suggests to me there were other awards. It seems unlikely that the mystery potter of many names had works entered posthumously on her behalf.
