A mysterious salt fired thing... looks old

Miriam found this. It is about 15 cm tall, looks salt fired, looks old. Totally unmarked. It COULD be a plant pot but then again it might be part of something else. It has no bolt holes or any means that we can see to attach it to anything else. Manos? Are you watching?
