For gallery Royal Oak treasure
Ev - I have put this in the wrong category - feel free to move it to Royal Oak/Salisbury etc section which follows this one.
In the early days Royal Oak made metal mesh holders, as well as shelves, fire screens etc. This trough vase is enclosed in a metal holder. 10000 thanks to Kat who gave it to me. I understand that this was made in the mid-50s, or a bit later. I am not sure where the ceramic component came from. I don't think it is Crown Lynn. Oakpot - hoping you can help again! Dimensions of the mesh holder are length 21, height 11, width 10. The dish alone is l 20, h 8, w 8.5 cm.

Re: For gallery Royal Oak treasure
I've seen this wavy top vase and it feels familiar, but I agree that it's not made by Crown Lynn.
I have saved all of your latest photos Val and will put them into the Galleries tomorrow.

Re: For gallery Royal Oak treasure
The trough vase blank was manufactured by CROWN LYNN in the early 1950's
1954 This trough has a scroll frame product No 1204
1959 This photo below has the mesh holder, product No 1404,
The mesh had a annual license to import from England
The small decoration scroll ware was created by a Frank Hunt in his small workshop at Ponsonby Auckland.
The metal leaves were stamped out of empty 4 gallon petrol tins

Re: For gallery Royal Oak treasure
Thank you again Oakpot. LOVED to hear that the leaves were 'upcycled' from old tins.

Re: For gallery Royal Oak treasure
My heartfelt apologies oakpot as I just came across this shape in the Crown Lynn Shapes Catalogue as Shape 21-8 !!!! When adding measurements from the Catalogue to the Gallery.
I have one of these and I'm thrilled at having it confirmed as Crown Lynn!
The Shape number was also used for this Ambrico shape 21 vase as you have mentioned in this post oakpot
What an incredible journey!! Thank you for everything oakpot
