Power cuts often happened when we lived in the Wild West -
but here they are almost unheard of - until today.
We were all rather lost ..... no computers... no tv .... no dinner until the power returned.
Strange as there was power where I work only 5 mins away and all of the 5 traffic lights were working that I came through. Luckily we had batteries in the boom blaster and heard the news that said that as a result of some line disaster in the Waikato .... there was no power to most of Auckland! Oh well all is back to normal now Very Happy

It was out for two hours at the western end of Whangarei too...
