Ok so I have this bottle stamped with "SYC wines Thames" but no mark. When I google it it comes up with being a Barry Brickell commission.. any thoughts?

Cat, it looks very like one of Brickell's wine bottles from the 1960s-70s. It's the same typeface, format and shape to others I have seen.

Are you sure there's no mark hidden under that thick tenmoku?

Looks identical to the photo I found, with the exception of a mark Sad this is a photo of where the mark would have been in that photo

Yes, very similar form! I wonder what difference being a 'branded' commission item makes in terms of perceived value/collectability? I am seriously considering listing this as I am feeling the pinch with back to school/new schools this year
