Re: Some of my Luke Adams
Thank you! Of interest is a similar teapot currently on ebay marked Dunmore. The Scottish Pottery Society are adamant it is not Dunmore, so that’s a little baffling. Search ebay Dunmore teapot. I am not sure if I should post link here I am glad to think my teapot is a Luke Adams

Re: Some of my Luke Adams
Hi, I couldn't find a similar teapot in Gail Henry's book New Zealand Pottery.
I don't know if your teapot was made by Luke Adams or not.
It looks like it has some age to it, but as it's not marked only an expert can identify it.
I'm no expert, but I can tell your teapot is different to the Dunmore one on ebay.
There are so many things to compare, for example the clay colour is very important.
The little uplift on the handle, the shape of the spout and the knob on the lid will all be important. Then there is the glaze to compare and I don't see your teapot as matching the glaze in the first photo. It is similar I grant you, but I don't think it's the same.
Where did you get this teapot from? That may be of some help.
Good luck as it's a lovely piece.

Re: Some of my Luke Adams
Hi! I found it on a stall in Sydney a couple of years back. I did also see a lid chard following a clean up of the Adams pottery in Colombo street that look very similar. Maybe one day we will find out!
