Jolly Roger: Sherwood, Titian, English or Japanese?
I can't see very many of these on google atm.
The two Japanese ones had Japan and Made in Japan marks.
I'm pretty I've seen an English one some time too.
Anyway ... all opinions welcome.

Re: Jolly Roger: Sherwood, Titian, English or Japanese?
The main picture for that one has disappeared from the topic so we only have the gallery to compare with.
One of these reputed to be Sherwood sold at one of the Auckland auction houses for $1000, maybe it was even the gallery one.
I do see them around but because I cannot distinguish the maker I have been reluctant to take a gamble. This one was so cheap it didn't matter. The fact it doesn't have "Japan" on it is encouraging, but I just don't know this kind of pottery well enough to make a judgement.
I'm hoping one of the collectors of serious stuff can help.

Re: Jolly Roger: Sherwood, Titian, English or Japanese?
If I remember correctly the Jolly Roger was the first Toby that Cam and Dorothy Brown made. I found the photos that peters sent for this topic and will post them again. Thank you peters ....

Looking pretty similar... Jeremy why don't you ask peters if his version has a name on the back.
