Desiree Hirner
Correct Kat.
This is Desiree Hirner.
Desi taught Tomas art after school when he was at primary, and her husband is orthopaedic surgeon Mark Hirner who put my arm back together 'bout ten years ago. I wasn't aware that Desi was selling pottery at the time, although she did have a kiln in her studio, and pottery was part of her classes. Tom made a piece.
The Hirners hail from S. Africa and now live or (lived then) up by the golf course off SH14.
You'll see some lovely work by Desi at Burning Issues.
I've been meaning to buy some but not got around to it.
I already have some photos on the iPad (from Burning Issues) so I should dig them out and add them.
Later ...
Well I thought I had some pics but can't find any. I did start writing a post but must gave set it aside for lack of pics!
