Couldn't get a photo that really did justice to it in the light available today, but I just love this.. any ideas on the mark - I have photographed it both ways up as I am unsure which way it is meant to go.

Somehow I missed this post earlier ??
That is just splendid Cat! I love the iron oxide with the wax resist pattern!
Perhaps you could search Diane McMillan, as she is the only possible in the Marks book, though it's not a perfect match ....

I've done a quick search but to no avail, cannot find any marks for her at all, will keep looking!

Looks like her name is actually Diana .... naughty Marks book for getting it wrong!
Found it on the nzpotters.com marks and there is just one mark, lower case is similar, but ....... it isn't exactly the same ....?

I think it looks likely - even with the slight difference - If you look at the way the circle of the d is an extension of the first leg of the m on both my dish and the mark in your link, with the upright of the d being a separate stroke.

I believe (but more sleuthing to do first) That I may have the incised version of this mark, and it's already on site. Stylistically, it adds up though. Very Happy
