Rod Page Crystaline Glazed Pump Dsc00614
I picked this up yesterday, because it reminded me so much of my Robin Rodgers pump.

I had no idea who Rod Page was, but I got it anyway. As he is in the Potter's marks book, and on the site, I assumed he was a NZ potter, but apparently not! His website http://mypots.com.au and http://mypots.com.au/my-story - a bit puzzling as this has to be the maker of my pump. Any ideas why it would be in the book?

Well a person that was collecting marks came to my place and took photos of all my Pottery marks. There was a pair of crystalline candle holders with Rod Page written on them. I was asked if I knew who Rod was and said that I had no idea. Not too long later I saw a listing of his work on ebay and realised he was Strayan and let the mark gatherer know, but I noticed the mark was in the book when it was published.

I kind of feel responsible for this muck up, but at the time we were new to the internet and dial-up was our friend. The mark gatherer was computer illiterate then and still is now. I was super surprised that his mark made it into the book and it has been a bone of contention ever since for the mark gatherers .....
I'm trying to figure out how long ago this would have occurred and I would say about 11 years ago, so around 2005.

Thanks for that Ev, I guess I should have searched on here in the first place. I still love it, and am glad I bought it, it a beautiful piece.
