Just hoping someone has the knowledge to tell me if they think there is any chance this wall charger is by Rosemarie Brittain (McClay). It is unmarked, but I can't think of anyone else in New Zealand who might have done something like this - the birds look very flustered. The colours are a bit more vivid in person. Thanks.

Well as soon as I saw those birds I thought of Rosemarie, but I would like that confirmed by someone else .... please. I will check what I have of hers.
Perhaps an old NZ Potter magazine would confirm this to be her work.
We really need a database of all of the info in those magazines!

Thanks Ev. The lamp base looks to be from the period that she was working with Roger Brittain. He did the potting (wheel thrown) and she did the decorating.
This platter is one that I can't quite work out. It is quite heavily incised and impressed and is hand formed in a much paler clay. If it is Rosemarie's, I would suppose it to be from a different period and probably something she did on her own.
But not having seen anything comparable I am only running a theory and would love to be corrected.

Thanks Ev and Roger. I wonder who did it? I can't think of anyone else who might be a possibility.
