It looks like Barry Ball made this Footrot Flats mug.
It has the same tiny Made In New Zealand stamp that you can find on his 1280 ware. I'm sure the mug has been slipcast, but the handle has been extruded and added by hand. A delightful find as Murray Ball and his Footrot Flats were popular with us in the '80's

I believe Barry was (is) Murray Ball's brother.

This is the first I have seen with the stamp on the base. They are very well made.
Most of the Footrot Flats figurines that come up on trade me every now and again are probably Hobby ceramics. I have a couple and they feel and look it too me.
I have seen them advertised on a bisque/greenware sales page on Google as well.
