Colour Glaze on OVEN PROOF Salt & Pepper Shakers
Good Evening,
while looking through Trade Me I noticed that the oven-proof salt and pepper shakers from the 1960's all have colour glaze on the tops. For example, the Green Bamboo salt & pepper shakers have olive green colour glaze on them, and Fashion Rose salt & pepper shakers have a plum colour glaze.
Does anyone know what colour were used on the other dinner sets of the time (eg Autumn Splendour, Golden Fall, Shasta Daisy)?
It's interesting to see which colours Crown Lynn though best matched their various patterns.

I could find Green on Shasta Daisy, Brown on Autumn Splendour, Plum on Fashion Rose, Plum on Vision and Blue on Blue Tango. Couldn't find Golden Fall.

The tops of the S&P are also an indication of correct lid colour for the mustard pots.
Green is also for green bamboo and I think Golden Fall may be yellow.
On the mustard pots a round knob blue lid is Blue Tango and a square one Sapphire.

Thanks for the updates Ev & Kat. And Jeremy good to know about the lids for the mustard pots, I hadn't realised the same principal applied (mostly as I'm relatively new to the game and haven't encountered any mustard pots yet!).
