Colony Vitrified Range & Pioneer & Redwood
From looking at the photos from the Portage Trust; I think I have figured out "Colony Vitrified Range" It looks very similar to Pioneer but it has a very defined glaze.
The saucer for Colony range measures 135mm as per the leaflet (which a saucer I have; is that size,) whereas pioneer is forma shape and bigger.
Ev I will have to email you the photos as I need to figure out how to switch HTML on ! I think its because I am in Internet Explorer???
I am fed up with Pc's ATM!!!! LOL

Re: Colony Vitrified Range & Pioneer & Redwood
I'll need to review my Pioneer-y stuff to see what might actually be this pattern.
I have 3624/4624 combos, at least I did so I may have moved them on or stored them. I still have matching small bowls, could be fruit dishes, not sure of the number without checking. The glaze on those seems to be a match for CookServe soup bowls etc, teapot, and a baker.
Is Colony the vit version of Pioneer and/or Redwood?

https://www.newzealandpottery.net/t737-pioneer-crown-lynn-tableware#1853
shows casseroles etc.
... so yes to Pioneer vitrified.
From that I would expect that the casseroles etc from 5631 on that are in the similar glaze would be Pioneer, but the earlier 5620 etc may not be, although I have been using that pattern name for convenience as everyone knows what I mean.

Re: Colony Vitrified Range & Pioneer & Redwood
These are my findings for you to cast your eyes over.
I agree that your cup and saucer on top of the Pioneer duo is Colony Janice.
Colony is in a 1988 Stocktake:
3641 Metro tea cup
4624 Stacking Hotel Saucer
4612 Plate
4614 Dinner Plate
4616 Lunch Plate
4617 Fruit Dish
4633 Rimmed Oatmeal
5619 Bowl
8610 Oval Salad
3626 Ashtray
Another list for Govt., Supplies from January 1988 includes also:
3622 Stacking Hotel Tea cup - which is the one in Janice's photo
8622 Steak Plate
8633 Divided Dish
8613 Oblong Dish
4636 Butter.
Rusticanna is Earthenware and on Forma
Pioneer on Forma d17400 has Ovenware in these shapes which will all be ovenproof:
Glazed in plain brown like the Pioneer brown.
A note to say this will no longer be available after June 1988.
8637 Large Flan
8655 Large Oval Baker
8656 Medium Oval Baker
5638 Souffle
2 litre Casserole and Lid
Pioneer d17400 is on Classique shapes.
Pioneer d677 is on what shapes? I have a bowl in the Gallery with that stamp on it. It's the rounded 'Salad' Bowl.

Re: Colony Vitrified Range & Pioneer & Redwood
Bumps...for me.
I'm going to look into this one again. Lol
But later this weekend.
I'm still convinced the square dish at the top is Colony. As it has a warm Speckle in the glaze, whers pioneer does not.
But the redwood/ pioneer price list has put an extra spin on the research .
