So lucky to find an Elizabeth Lissaman jug on a roadside stall.
This is beautifully made, although rather heavy in the base, but as I didn't have any of her work in my collection I was extremely pleased to snap it up. Made in 1972 according to her dating code of Ehel.
Re: So lucky to find an Elizabeth Lissaman jug on a roadside stall.
Found a matching mug to go with my jug the other day for a pittance !!!
The date code on it has an S at the end and I did some searching and found that the S she used represents 0, so this mug was made in 1970. It's good to know these things!!
Elizabeth seemed to favour this style as it covers several years.
