Waipu Tiles at the Aotea Centre. Mark for gallery
These striking tiles in the women's toilets at the Aotea Centre in Auckland were made by Rod Bowey from Waipu Tiles, which used to operate from Waipu, just south of Whangarei. The business was originally a husband-and-wife team with Rod and Patsy Bowey. After they separated, Rod kept the business going by himself for a while. These tiles are much fresher and brighter in real life - a phone camera in dim light is not the best!
