Akke Tiemersma mark for gallery and products

Akke runs a small pottery on the Whangarei side of Ngunguru.  Happily, I had a visitor the other day who wanted to stop there so I took some pics.  Akke did call herself Raku Pottery but has renamed her business Ngunguru Pottery.  She makes stoneware mainly but also had some lovely little porcelain pin dishes for sale.  The cartoon people below are quirky soap dishes - she says she first started making these years ago so you might be lucky enough to find an 'oldie' somewhere.
Her mark is the actual imprint of the seed pod of the NZ manuka tree - nice!
