Gillian Anderson mug and STICKER
A colourful mug by Gillian Anderson, Whitianga.
75mm H
I didn't attempt to pull the sticker off the base to find a mark.
I don't usually go for colour but I am an X-files fan so bought for the name!

Do you know these and the potter?
Hi Jeremy,
I have quite a lot of this pottery, it seems to be made by the same potter. These are the only 2 'marks' on it. Your post of Gillian cup reminded me of it.
Cheers

Re: Gillian Anderson mug and STICKER
I think I have one or mpre like that among my unidentified mugs but I hadn't considered a connection.
The artwork on your mugs looks more confident to me than on the GA one: the throwing too.
I'll go see what I can find on my coloured mugs shelf.
Later.
I don't see anything on the shelf so either I spotted them repeatedly at one of the opshops and didn't buy, as I don't buy most unsigned mugs now. or there is one buried in one of many boxes not on show.

Re: Gillian Anderson mug and STICKER
Hi Jeremy,
Once again you provide more food for thought. I haven't seen many mugs or cups for sale. I see bits and pieces around. I posted a pic of the collection I have if you want a view of anymore. If you are out about and see more in shops could you have a another look with Gillian in mind? It would be interesting to see what your eyes and hands tell you. Your mug looks a whiter clay than mine. Mine look a grey clay.
I had also pondered an early Centrepoint Pottery edition. But it has been so long since I have been there I no longer remember what they produced. I really only remember colour. I used to buy clay from them (for early childhood education use)
Cheers

Re: Gillian Anderson mug and STICKER
Sure, I'd love to see more pics.
I'm interested in Centrepiint pottery because I don't have any.
You should find a mark in the gallery.
Maybe other potters who were at Centrepoint used theor own marks. I don't know.
Tim Caulton told me today that Campbell Hegan was at Centrepoint Pottery.

Hi Jeremy, sorry about delay. I was thinking you meant something else (silly me)
