Early Crown Lynn Vase?
I found this today at one of my local Op Shops, it looks like it might be the backstamp in the gallery from 1943-50? Am I right?
It has a scrawly type of signature underneath too near the stamp, its sideways in my photo.

That's an oldie makut !! It's an early Ambrico experimental vase.
Do you think it is a shape 13 ? I'm not sure as I can't see the base.

I can see a J in the signature but nothing more from here....
The second glaze that has been squirted over the base glaze hasn't really melted and there is a star crack in the base, which may mean that it might leak.
Nevertheless an interesting find

Hi
No its not a 13, the base is different. I'll load another picture. I can read the writing on the base now better in the evening light and there is a X or a K, then 9 - 7 - 45.
Do you think it could be a 31? That's the closest I can find.
Unfortunately it has a tiny nibble on the rim, barely noticeable but still there. Still a bargain for $4 I think.

Oh yes I agree that it is a shape 31.
How fantastic to have a date on it and such an early one too.
