More likely Kiln Craft - another colour.
Hello all! I have had a bit happening this summer... including finally getting married to George. Now there's SO much to catch up on - I have some serious reading to do on this site. But meanwhile, look what I found in Wellsford the other day. They were sold as a set, and they're in perfect condition, with a lovely soft glow to the glaze.
They range from 20 cm high to 14. The smallest is hand potted, the others slipcast. No marks to be seen. But here is the middle jar next to a jar marked Kiln Craft which I have had for some time. I have a real weakness for this stuff.

Re: More likely Kiln Craft - another colour.
After talking to the Beach family:
Of these items, only the jar in the second pic (with 2 jars) is marked and it is kiln craft. Re the pic with three jars, Eva and Sharon thought that the smallest jar on the right was also kiln craft.
Eva and Sharon said they used this glaze at Beach but I didn't show them the other jars and would not like to guess who made them, as Kiln Craft owner Don Mckenzie bought the glaze recipes as part of the business.
Re the pic with three items: the largest is definitely slipcast and the other two look to be hand thrown.
Sooooo. Sitting on the fence sorry Ev.

Re: More likely Kiln Craft - another colour.
I'm moving this to the Kiln Craft/ Claycraft topic as there seems to be at least 3 pieces of Kiln Craft counting the slipcast jar. Sharon could tell by the amount of movement in the contrasting glaze on the ware that it wasn't Beach as it had been applied too thickly. Don McKenzie had a big problem with glaze running off the pots and sticking to the shelves, as he didn't really know about making pottery.
