Crown Lynn saucers identification.
I feel very sure that there will be information available in the Portage Ceramic Museum collection and look forward to researching their material, as saucers made at Crown Lynn are so difficult to identify. There are many saucer and plate profiles in the Modellers drawings and one day I will try to decipher them.
I did come across this list on one of the trips to the Auckland Museum and thought I should add it for anyone interested.
From 1961 Price Lists ....
Cups: 750, 753,754,780,781.
Saucers: 744 - is used with 750, 802, 832,
805 is used with 753, 754, 780, 781.
5" Plate could be shape 766 or 771
753/803 - 5"
754/805 - 5"
780/805 - 5"
Will add Sauce Boat info while I see it:
746 Round - 771/5 stand
747 Round - 771/5 stand
756 Oval - 854 stand
857 Oval - 854 stand

Re: Crown Lynn saucers identification.
Ta Ev.
I will study it.
It's already helpful to me that 853 and 780 are available at the same time.
Likewise 754 and 781.
I am following up on the 750/744 relationship.
Ev has one with a wide footring.
Both my plain ones have smaller footrings of the size to fit an 805 rather tha 744 so I thought the earlier Jack Horner might. No such luck: same size footring again.
