Who are these swallows made by? They are ex-estate and are very old ...
They can sit on a bench ect and they have holes to hang on the wall like the classic deco Three Flying Ducks!
This is the only marking I can see... A number 8 ?

Crown Lynn made similar birds, but they are numbered 547.
You can find a Museum drawing of them in the 500 - 599 Crown Lynn Shapes Gallery.

I have seen a few of these similar swallow sets listed on Trademe - I've never seen them in real life.
I grew up with the three ducks hanging on the wall - no idea who made them or where they are now lolz

Hi there, here is a link to Crown Lynn Swallows and these have 547 plus a number on them -

Also Titian Swallows and they have F.102 on the bases -

I can't see any numbers on your one, are there any?
Personally I don't think that your Swallows are Crown Lynn or Titian.
Perhaps they were made by one of the English potteries? I found the same swallows on etsy, but there is no maker identified -

A link to your auction -

I have got these swallows too and they are not Titian or Crown Lynn. I am sorry but they look like Chinese copies to me (the ones listed on Trade Me
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=775319894 not the ones shown first on this topic).

Yes I agree, they are very similar but I had a good look at mine & the feather pattern is different, especially on tail.. still they are lovely examples.

Swallows
Just wondering if anyone had tied down the swallows that started this post. Ev put a link through to a Melbourne Etsy dealer selling a similar but not identical set. The wing shape on the ones above is swept back further and the slip molding drain hole is very different. I have come across a set the same as the Etsy versions and they look close to some of the Titian swallows. I know many makers put these out everywhere but you never know when a marked one will turn up.....
