CL elephant? Empty CL elephant?

Post  hkerrigan Fri 20 Feb - 15:35

Hi, I've got an elephant that I'm thinking of selling. How can I tell for sure if it's CL or Sylvac as I've seen pictures of both that look very similar (especially in the black gloss!). i've put some pics on an old blog page that I don't use...

Hopefully someone out there has some advice!

I'm hopeless when it comes to identifying elephants. I do have a Sylvac one that was my Mothers and it has 769 Made in England on the base. It has white tusks and white toenails and has a satin glaze against the high gloss on your one. Hopefully others can help you. Manos know his pottery elephants ....
