Found 4 plates last year, all with the numbers 8 2/10.The brown glaze colour is slightly different on each as is the thickness of the plates.Diameter 15cm depth 2 cm.Are these perhaps glaze test pieces for Crown Lynn? I have photos on serving.com but cannot remember how to post them.

Hi chef it's good to see you again Smile
Choose the middle option when loading photos and copy and paste it to the page, as we really need to see photos to work out what you have here.
Cheers and a Happy New Year to you Very Happy

Hmmmm I'm not familiar with that shaped plate. Does anyone else recognise it?
I've only seen fraction marks on old pieces that have more than one glaze on them.
My gut feeling is that they are not Crown Lynn, but I stand to be corrected.

I agree Ev. Those marks don't look like the usual CL fraction marks which are hand-scratched into the clay and/or glaze. If not CL, who?

The base where the glaze has been untidily wiped off is most unprofessional and not the trademark of Crown Lynn. This points me to another pottery and I will leave you with that thought.
