There is bisque one on the Portage Ceramics Trust site which shows the distinctive screw top -

Re: The Crown Lynn Ti-Toki bottle
Crown Lynn also made a large Ti Toki bottle with a screw top and the Shape No is 1438. It looks just the same as the Orzel Ti Toki bottle other than it has a screw top. The description reads "Ti Toki Bottle" 500mls - First made 23.1.85
Height is 252mm - Width 77mm So this is one we need to find !!
Edits to say it didn't say Titian it says TiToki ..... bah
The Small 1437 Ti Toki has the same date and is 152mm x 70mm.

Here is the large Ti Toki bottle!
Well Ev. On the basis of your research I will finally stop dithering. It does look as though I have the large Ti-Toki bottle. I have had it for several years - bought it on TradeMe as Crown Lynn, for what seemed quite a bit at the time (about $100?) and then became uncertain about its pedigree. I didn't use it in my second book because I couldn't find anyone to verify it. There were several other makers of the Ti Toki bottle and I just couldn't be sure.
So here tis. 25.2 cm tall and 7.5 cm across the base at the widest point. Interesting that the smaller one on Pinterest has a very Luke Adams glaze but this larger one looks like Titian to me.
Despite the above, I would still like to run this past Bruce Yallop sometime.
Side view.. note that back and front are the same.

Re: The Crown Lynn Ti-Toki bottle
Well now thank you very much Queenie
That really thrills me after a hard days processing of info. Fantastic !!
I too find it very odd that so many companies copied Hemera's design and produced these for Ti Toki. Hemera actually told me that he was so chuffed that one of these bottles that he had made at Orzel is in the Auckland Museum as Crown Lynn hahaa.
I wonder if it has a screw top or not ......
The record is signed by Tam Mitchell so it has to be correct and after not knowing the details about Crown Lynn's involvement for so long it's great to have it sorted at last.
Gulps* Excuse me but does that fella have eyes in the back of his head????

Coming back to congratulate you on not getting a lemon, but indeed the real deal. Many have been sucked in by rascals that say that the Orzel ones are Crown Lynn.
Merry Month of May !!

Re: The Crown Lynn Ti-Toki bottle
i was pretty confident this wasn't Ozel but I worried it was from another supplier. These bottles are quite tricky. There is still more to add to the story I reckon.

Paipo's "miniature" Ti-Toki bottles
Ev, the small Ti-toki bottle you found on Pinterest is one belonging to Paipo from ooga mooga.
You can see it here (green):
http://www.ooga-mooga.com/cgi-bin/all/mug.cgi?mode=view&mug_id=3387
Paipo has a second such bottle slightly different (brown):
http://www.ooga-mooga.com/cgi-bin/all/mug.cgi?mode=view&mug_id=3271
I made a montage of these two with the Portage bisque to compare and although the green is a lot closer to the Portage than the brown I don't think it a perfect match.
It could be but the angles of the photos are different and the glaze is throwing me a bit.
Paipo does not give measurements.

Paipo's second small bottle is the same as haselnuss' one, here:

Re: The Crown Lynn Ti-Toki bottle
Thanks Jeremy. I tried to follow back to where that photo was sourced, but nobody seemed to know. That second little Ti Toki doesn't appeal to me like the first one does. There was a little Orzel Ti Toki bottle at the Papakura Museum and it matches the second link Jeremy and we are yet to find one ....

Small Orxel Ti-Toki
Auckland Museum 2004.66.20 (no pictures)
151mm H
Quotes Cam Brown Jnr (1907) saying these were made for Air NZ first class.

I found nothing for an Orzel bottle by Hemara identified as Crown Lynn.

Re: The Crown Lynn Ti-Toki bottle
Hemara said it was on display with the Crown Lynn pottery. Probably in the Encounter Gallery I would say.
