Clay Craft shape, Hobby Ceramics decoration!
This little jug is a benchmark in Hobby Ceramics! The mould still has the Clay Craft imprint on the base though it is difficult to see in this pic.
This is what the original jug looks like in Clay Craft glazes.

Re: Clay Craft shape, Hobby Ceramics decoration!
There have been a few nice Hobby-Ceramics/Clay-Craft pieces on tm lately but the seller didn't seem too interested when I told them. If it has a Clay Craft mark it must be Clay Craft is the thinking. We know better.
Clay Craft shapes lend themselves well to individualisation because they are so simple to start with.

Re: Clay Craft shape, Hobby Ceramics decoration!
I know that there were several Hobby Ceramics classes. In fact there were heaps around in the 80's and 90's but we really need to talk to some of the people who ran them. I only know two and one was Chris Brown and the other was Quentin ... His surname escapes me atm .... Whitehouse .
I find this example quite scary for several reasons. There is a current supplier of 'greenware' for Hobby Ceramics that supply many shapes that we are familiar with and I will make a topic about them one of these days!

Here's a lovely Clay Craft Hobby mug:

I think Janice has one of these from CC.
But what prompted me to post was these from Sanderson:

This one could end up looking like just about anything .... and how expensive is it and it still needs to be glazed and fired ?
