Many photos are not showing in the Gallery.

This is just to let everyone know that since there was a glitch with out host server about 10 days ago, we haven't been able to see all of our Gallery photos.
Forumotion are still looking into this problem and we are not alone as other sites are having the same trouble.  
Please bear with us as they try to sort out what has happened.
For some reason all of the photos in the Galleries show up on my Smart Phone, but not my laptop, or our computer.

I'm adding a poll with this in mind and it has been set to multiple choice.

Can I ask you to please check the 1 to 99 gallery which has many missing photos before you vote.

I can't see all the photos on my wife's iPad.

I cleared my browser history and it made it worse     I have lost quite a few galleries now!

I added a question 8 but it doesn't show up !!

So frustrating !!! I did the refresh cache (CtRl f5) but that didn't help either !

Yes it's extremely frustrating Janice and the last time this happened I had to reload all of the pics, though there were only 1,000 at that time. I do not look forward to doing that as the time to locate them is a mission in itself. No idea how many are 'missing' but it's more than a few !

I can help with some of those - patterns mainly - let me know

The four digit gallery only has 2 photos not showing !!
Whereas the 1 to 881 Gallery has too many to count......

I'll check on the work laptop tomorrow, but lots of photos not showing on my home computer

It does seem that most of the missing photos are older ones, but I cannot prove this without seeing some of the missing ones lol, hence why most of the 4 digit photos are not affected. I can also help with all the ones I still have stored.

It beats me that I can still see all of the photos on my smart phone, but no other device shows them all for me !!!!!

No idea about my cloud.v ..... but it sounds right too

Our problems have not yet been resolved and there is no help coming from our Forumotion host other than to say the technicians are looking at it.
Today I have successfully loaded a couple of new pics into the galleries, prior to today photos that have been added show up as a random photo from elsewhere, but have not had any luck with reloading photos that are not showing.
Then there is the problem that some are having loading photos into topics, but others seem to do this without any trouble ...?
I am not happy about all of these frustrating things and I feel that the site is in tatters and just want it back to how it was.

Bah Humbug the Royal Oak SAMA mug that I just loaded shows as a Royal Oak stamp but when you click onto it ..... there is the mug !

Ev, "cloud.v" was a typo. It should just have read cloud. When I save an image on the iPad it is automatically backed-up to "cloud storage" on a server somewhere (except that my free cloud storage is full!).

The way things work always seem to be changing on forumotion, whether it is searching or loading pics. I don't make whether the latter is them or the image host but once, just once, I was able to load a photo from the iPad.

I usually load from the computer, and will find out whether that is working for me later today.

I just saw the new Manhattan 115 pic flash up on the gallery slideshow. Some are still working properly.

Today I counted all of the missing photos and there are 565 over 28 galleries and albums.  The Crown Lynn Eggcup Gallery was totally photo-less.  I have managed to reload this Gallery with only minor hiccups.  Sometimes when I load a photo another random unrelated photo shows up and sometimes the photo shows as a black cross in a little box in the main gallery and when you click onto it the photo is there. The majority of the missing photos are from 2008 and 2009 which should tell us something, but I can't work it out ....?
Hopefully all of the Galleries will be slowly returned to how they were .. .. .. .. one of these days .. .. .. .. ..........

I have tidied up the no names gallery and got that black checkers image to show the correct one
     

Thanks heaps Janice, I noticed the Black Chequers was showing. The patterns gallery hasn't been hit too hard and I'm working on it now.... one gallery at a time, as I have to find the photo file..... load it with the exact same title etc then the original shows up if I'm lucky and then I have to delete the reloaded pic ..... ugh

I was using the link at the bottom of the page or searching for the original thread ( takes ages LOL) and then saving the image to my file.
I couldn't find some but I had a example of the pattern on my files. Phew!!
It will take a while to fix, but we will get there...

Janice hopefully you have Savoy d186 in your files /???

When those two are done, then the Patterns Gallery will be completed.

Found both of them, which makes me very happy as that is two more galleries complete and the Patterns Gallery is back to normal.

Bah Humbug as I cannot find pics for the Wharetana 1008 Trinket Box and lid and the 1009 Plaque. Perhaps I will stumble across them one of these days while searching for photos that are missing, but for now they remain a mystery. So annoying!
