The Army Memorial Museum Waiouru Plate
There is always something new to see when it comes to Crown Lynn and this not often seen Commemorative plate in a new one for me. I was lucky enough to find it at an Antique Fair yesterday. Only 2000 were made and this is No.2
I would like to identify the 18 insignia around the plate, but not today.
I will load close up pics and if you recognise any please let us know.
Numbering from 1 to 18 starting at the 12 o'clock position.

Re: The Army Memorial Museum Waiouru Plate
This plate was designed by Staff Sergeant Colin Andrews in 1978 for the opening of the Army Memorial Museum in Waiouru and 2000 were produced. According to an article in the Press 25th October 1978. There is a photo of Colin. Thank you Papers Past
I can't find this in the Patterns Catalogues .... or maybe I can't see it?
Not sure where it will go even, so maybe it hasn't been added yet? Help!

Re: The Army Memorial Museum Waiouru Plate
Hi there, you might get $20 to $40 for it.
It's not very sought after at the moment.

National Army Museum NZ Commemorative Plate #2 Proposer and Artist Ssgt Colin Andrews
Hallo and Cheers for new owner of Commemorative Plate No.2 presented by the late Major General Ron Hassett to the then New Zealand Governor General, Sir Keith Holyoake at the opening ceremony of the then new army museum, 15th October 1978.
i have a copy of 'The Evening Post', Mon, 25, 1978, which illustrates a picture of me holding the 'Plate' plus the museum commemorative wall outside of the museum with my, same as on the plate, 18 bronzed Corps Badges, and the story behind the wall project which, I'd also, proposed and had constructed. (I'll try and send these two attachments, if I can manage doing so on my computer). If you can contact me directly, I could send you the attachments.
