Crown Lynn Mugs 1314 or 3050
2014-06-29Was just wondering whether these were 1314 or 3050? Also these all have different transfer pictures on them and was wondering how many different ones there are?

There are three shapes that look like this -
1314, 3050 and 3051 and we haven't been able to work out the differences yet.
So these could be any of the above shape numbers.
Those are lovely decals and I'm not sure how many there are in the series.

Re: Crown Lynn Mugs 1314 or 3050
I have posted 1314, 3050, and 3802 elsewhere.
http://newzealandpottery.forumotion.net/t4932-1314-3050-and-a-3802-for-gallery#18109
I am pretty sure on the 3802 now as it rings like a bell.
The 1314 is marked.
All three mugs are different sizes.
I think 3051 is a red herring here: Striated means striped.

I won't argue with Crown Lynn Price Lists Jeremy .... of course you may if you wish.
The 3051 is common in the Price Lists, for example the Kiwi Sports Cricket mug from Fi that was posted today. I have no idea why it is described as striated ....
I need more evidence re your 3802, for instance if it is in the House of Reps stoneware pattern I will totally agree with you
I do agree that it will be this shape too ...
Re: Crown Lynn Mugs 1314 or 3050
OK. I guess I can't argue with them either!
Does anyone have 3050 and 3051 to compare sizes with?
Are there any differences at all apart from the patterns?
On an online dictionary. Striated: furrowed, striped, streaked.
On the 3802 I have nothing more to offer: different size from both 1314 and 3050 and rings like a bell. I asked Adriana to listen with me too and she agreed. I keep seeing them in the op shops in various glazes and tapping my keys on them!

Re: Crown Lynn Mugs 1314 or 3050
I have at least one 3051 and heaps of the 3050 and there are no differences that I can find ........ there is a topic about this elsewhere and I will reopen it when I finish loading all of my pics.

3050 & 3051 --- the bases are different and one weighs heavier than the other - who has a photo of the base of the 1314 please so I can see which is which

Re: Crown Lynn Mugs 1314 or 3050
My 3050 and 3051 appear to have the same bases..... see this thread -

There is a bit of a 1314 base in this thread -

Re: Crown Lynn Mugs 1314 or 3050
Bear in mind the 1314 is way smaller than the 3050/1 so while the foot ring is a wide one it will not be the same diameter as the wide-ringed 3050/1.
