Very, Very Large Vase
This is a very big vase 14 1/2 inches tall and 11 inches wide around the middle. No marks, although I might just be able to see remains of a black printed mark on the base. It has been in a garden tho so hard to tell. Unglazed but has a painted egg shell, sponged type light yellow finish. I can see see a mould joint line running up the sides. Any help with an ID most appreciated. Cheers, Mike

Re: Very, Very Large Vase
That shape reminds me of the shape 73 Crown Lynn vase, but it is only 8 inches high.
The 73 is the larger of two vases in that shape, the other is the 72, but it is only 6 inches high. I have both and they have been 'painted' by Salisburys.
No help really Mike, but that shape struck a nerve ....

Re: Very, Very Large Vase
Yep that shape is very much the same although this one is huge. The painted finish is like a spray effect as well. Cream with light yellow speckles over the top. The paint is flaking and the body you can see is a dull off white very much like CL. Thanks for the Shape 73 link, it all helps. Cheers
