KAPOW !! A Clay Craft salt pig in running pumpkin glaze??
Not as impressive from the front as it is from the side, but a 'knock your socks off' contrast to some of their other glazes, and big too.
See what I mean?
I didn't buy it, as I am accumulating too much odd stuff, but if anyone is interested in it for $3, I will have a look next Thurs when I am in town again.

Clay Craft mould, but who made it?
Anne,
We have seen quite a few examples of others using Clay Craft moulds, including Sanderson, Aotea NZ, and others some of which are likely Hobby Ceramics.
I have three items (the canisters and teapot count as one) in Clay Craft shapes that were produced by others, some marked, some not.
The glaze on this one is unfamiliar and I suspect it is not from Clay Craft either.
The speckle beneath the orange splashes reminds me of the blue speckled sugar basin I posted with the Clay Craft glazes topic, which Kat has since led me to think is Hobby.
I'll ask Linda about this on my next visit to Hikurangi.
She said yesterday that she had found a few more pieces at home for me to look at.

Linda recognised the shape but said a definite NO on the glaze.
So, despite the Clay Craft branding this is not a Clay Craft piece.
