Unknown S mark .... belongs to Peter Shearer thanks to chef and Tim :D
I have several pieces of this potter's work.
There is definitely an Asian influence that shows through.
I will add photos of their work later.
The S mark ..... and it's often claimed to be Graeme Storm's, but it isn't.

Oh wow .... someone posted in Studio Pottery!!
I was hoping you would post somewhere chef
Now getting back to the S mark.....
I have several pieces of Peter Shearer's work .... up to about 10 years old.
Did he use an 'S mark' before his P.S mark?
I still haven't taken pics of the other 'S mark' pots that I have and now they are packed as we are moving. They have a definite Asian influence regarding the brushwork on them .... wax resist.

It looks like I haven't posted any of the pots of his that I have in my collection!!
Here is his PS mark .... from the 1990's
I can see that I didn't post his mark as the pic is too blurry!
This is his lovely bowl that the mark is from..
The Pottersmarks book doesn't show an S mark for Peter ....
but it doesn't show all of the marks that each potter used.

Thanks for the confirmation Tim
Of course the pieces had to be made by a good potter and Peter is top rate!
The massive bowl I got from a 2nd hand dealer for $15 around 18 years ago ...
I use it all the time as a fruit bowl and I still love it
