I have several pieces of this potter's work.
There is definitely an Asian influence that shows through.
I will add photos of their work later.
The S mark ..... and it's often claimed to be Graeme Storm's, but it isn't.

Oh wow .... someone posted in Studio Pottery!!
I was hoping you would post somewhere chef Very Happy
Now getting back to the S mark.....
I have several pieces of Peter Shearer's work .... up to about 10 years old.
Did he use an 'S mark' before his P.S mark?
I still haven't taken pics of the other 'S mark' pots that I have and now they are packed as we are moving. They have a definite Asian influence regarding the brushwork on them .... wax resist.

The Pottersmarks book doesn't show an S mark for Peter ....
but it doesn't show all of the marks that each potter used.

Thanks for the confirmation Tim Very Happy
Of course the pieces had to be made by a good potter and Peter is top rate!
The massive bowl I got from a 2nd hand dealer for $15 around 18 years ago ...
I use it all the time as a fruit bowl and I still love it :loveit:
