Pauline Abbot and L'BO
Had these sculptures for quite a few years now and previously owned by a friend (now deceased) who purchased them in the 70s
I have sold 1 but still have these left, the one I sold had P A on it as well and buyer told me it was Pam Annesouth but the other has me stumped L'BO
Cant upload a pic at present will though

Re: Pauline Abbot and L'BO
Very nice suda!
One would think that they are made by the same person wouldn't they?
Pamela Annsouth does use a PA mark which looks like a stamp in the Marks Book.
If you could contact Pamela you may be able to find out the story behind these.

Re: Pauline Abbot and L'BO
Pamella Annsouth answered my email promptly but alas it is not her work and has no idea on the L'BO one either.

Re: Pauline Abbot and L'BO
The work reminds me of Sue Akast's

but it's not her SUE mark and your ones look superior.

I am certain I have seen one of these before, and am racking my brain to try and remember where... sorry, not much help! I think we may have had a broken one come through the shop at one point, but may have see one online somewhere too...

Re: Pauline Abbot and L'BO
You may be thinking of the one I sold on Trade me last year, cant remember which bird it was, they are quite delicate the Tui is the only one that isnt broken or repaired. Will keep searching, wish I'd had the fore-sight to ask Nola where she got them from.Cat-a-lat wrote:I am certain I have seen one of these before, and am racking my brain to try and remember where... sorry, not much help! Re: Pauline Abbot and L'BO
I may have seen the one on TM, but one or two did come through the shop a while back, I quite clearly remember the tree fungi and the pale interior - they were quite damaged - as you say, very delicate items - and went in our "free box"
Sorry I have no further info atm
