Re: Fernlea patterns
Ooh, I had one of those, but it broke some time ago and was consigned to the mosaics pile - a pity as it's a lovely pattern!

Re: Fernlea patterns
The adverts are in black and white eeeeeek and are from 1962!
I think we should go with the name. Does everyone agree?
Pic up for a short time only ....

Re: Fernlea patterns
Cat was your one like this in the blue tonings?
My mind played tricks on me as the fern part of the name made me think of green...
I'm putting this into the Gallery as Fernlea.
Perhaps there were other colours and we won't know until we find them.

Re: Fernlea patterns
A pic showing the Malkin machine stamping this lovely pattern onto plates.
So this pattern shouldn't scratch like decals then, as it's under the glaze ...?
I want it more than ever!
Pic for a short time only, but Mr Google picks things up almost instantly these days!

Re: Fernlea patterns
Just realised that this one is different Kat, as it misses out the lower in between leaves if you know what I mean? Not sure whether to put this into the No Names Gallery or not ...... help!
Fernlea d396
At last have a description in a black and white catalogue from 1962.
Fernlea d396 has an underglaze fernleaf border stamp in Green and Brown.
It appears to be the one that shows up in Cat's photo of the broken piece!!!
I think I will add the other ones in this thread to the No Names Gallery when I get a chance.

Re: Fernlea patterns
This listing shows the Blue and Black leaves and has the Pat.No.462, so that is two colours with this pattern number. See Green and Black above, but no pattern name !!

Re: Fernlea patterns
Hmmmm I just checked the 1962 Fernlea photo and it says that the cup is a 781 and the leaves are Green and Brown, so this may be different on a different cup shape .... omg!!
I did think it was odd when the 3012 was first made in 1964 !!!
The Fernlea leaves are quite different arghhhh
Thank you for being there Janice
