Timdrin, do you know how to do an expired listings search on TradeMe? It's really quite simple, once you find the expired listings search button (which isn't labeled as such and is just a little down arrow next to the usual search button). It's quite a handy tool, though you have to bear in mind it only shows listings closing within the last 6 weeks.
