Kelston Potteries/Colour Glaze/Capri by Crown Lynn Dinnerset
I've was given an old yellow dinnerset to use in my bach by a distant relative years ago. I've just dragged it out of the garage to use and now wondered what value it had prior to throwing it in the bach (just in case). I really like it as it's from another era, I remember we had similar back in the 60's but green. Should it be in daily use? It's all butter yellow and looks like one set but has the three different stamps. The cups just have NEW ZEALAND on the bottom around the circular edge. The plates are Kelston Potteries. Any info on these would be helpful. Is it all Crown Lynn? ie: Is it one set.
It has jugs, sugar bowl, what looks like little butter plates. Two sizes of dinner plates, bread plates etc etc.
Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the site ferngirl
Yes all of those backstamps were used by Crown Lynn. This ware was very popular back in the day and has now gone full circle and is popular again. There are some very hard to find colours like black, pink, mauve, burgundy and grey which are fought over on trademe, but there seems to be plenty of yellow around at this stage.
So use your set and take pride in the fact that it was made in New Zealand and is of very good quality and it should last a very long time.

Thanks so much for your help. That is what I will do. It goes so well with the old bach as it has yellow paintwork right through by chance and is caught in the 50's - LOL. It certainly will bring back memories for some.
