Any idea what the initials stand for?  
Christchurch Hotel Ltd .... just guessing!

Edits to add that CHL is Consolidated Hotels Limited.

Actually we see these popping up all over so I guess that rather than a single hotel they may be a catering company or liquor outfit.

The CL  cup in the link above is paired with an English saucer, both CHL, with Nathan's included on the backstamp.

The linked duo is Gloria's but I have a couple of duos in different shapes.

The pattern of bands accompanying the monogram varies.
