Len Castle rip offs!

These auctions come up far too often for my liking!
Another today 'Possible Len Castle pottery wall vase' 176194982
and it sold for $64 ..... the mark is nothing like Len's mark
and neither is the workmanship!
But people keep getting sucked in by those magic words!
Caveat Emptor!

ps I think I know the person who made that pot.....
and most of his work was Len Castle-like -
he was inspired by Len - but always put his own mark on the pot.

and he didn't show the mark last time either...

Hokiangahori just put the claimed Len Castle mark photo up.....
and it is Barbara Cunningham's mark ..... a BIG difference!
Though it is a C with a Line through it lolzzzz

just to photograph his mark ...
as his mark in the number one when it comes to Len Castle look alikes.

Clifford Smith has a stylised S running through the C
which puts the bar through the C on an angle.....
unlike Len Castle's crossbar which runs straight up and down.

Anyone seen those ususual bowls on TM at the moment.....what do you think....shouldn't be hard to find them.....the pair with the "C" mark

It looks like a different mark to me....someone else. I have the "C" mark and it's not like that. But if an antique dealer says they are Castle who am I to argue....anyone else have a few thoughts???

I have seen that trader/dealer make some dreadful mistakes. .... so I wouldn't take his word to heart.
The Chun type glaze would point me to Len Castle, but the oxided outside that doesn't include the base makes me believe that they are not Len Castle. Chris seems to be happy though lolz .... I don't know who Chris is.
