Ev, sorry for lumbering you with that. Thanks for picking up the baton.

It was late, the iPad was running out of battery, I don't know how to bookmark on it, and writing was real slow. I meant to get back to it this morning.

I did have a search in the gallery under houndstooth, not knowing if that was the actual name. I see now it is. I guess we just haven't had any examples go through the forum to illustrate it.

Good to see a photo of the real thing. I've always been a fan of houndstooth. Wore it in my 20s, back in the 1980s.

Will the pattern book picture go in the gallery?

We need a real photo to go into the Gallery, I've only borrowed this pic from the Patterns book for a short time. It's on Apollo ware and hopefully this may remind one of our members that they have a piece of it tucked away somewhere Smile

Hiya-- I saw this pattern a few weeks ago on Ebay, but didnt' bookmark it ... but when I went to look again, couldn't find it  :O(
(wonder if it sold and was re-listed..anyways, I think its an awesome pattern, but I would love it in a dinner plate size  Razz )
added note.. listing from the same seller 'Moritz Zdekauer Carlsbad set' is using part of the same pattern as those coffee cans that, Jermery and I have ( green, brown and black)

A quick lesson in placing a link for anyone interested .....

Right click on the address bar when you have the page open that you want to share - it starts with http://....
click Copy ...... then go to where you want to share the link and right click and click Paste ....
here is the Carlsbad set link
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Moritz-Zdekauer-Carlsbad-SET-6-Duos-Cups-Saucers-Porcelain-1950s-Mid-Century-/171169858703

Ps I fixed the casserole link Jeremy.

Ev, saw that. Ta.

Jan, now you've got me back on eBay again.
Weird shaped cup. Wack.

I've tidied the copycat stuff and posted it here: http://newzealandpottery.forumotion.net/t4268-which-pieces-of-crown-lynn-were-copied-from-overseas-potteries#14894
